Wow! There is a lot going on right now. Once
again the weather did not cooperate for those wanting to ride to the Missouri
District
Rally in Branson. Chapter B2 had 17 members in
attendance and we appreciate everyone for making the effort even though
the
weather was wet. Plans are now in the making for WING DING in Greenville,
S.C. We will be talking more about WING
DING at our Chapter
meeting Thursday June 13 at the Golden Corral. The meeting
starts at 7:00 PM with the meal
and fellowship before the meeting.Last
March I had scheduled for John Schwenk to come as our guest speaker to talk
about motorcycle
insurance. The day before our meeting, John came down
with the flu so he asked for a rain check. John will be our guest
this
week so bring all your questions for an insurance expert to answer. John is
also a bike rider and he shared with me that he is
very excited to meet our
chapter members. Let me take this opportunity to remind you to look for new
GWRRA members. Prospective
members are everywhere! Two weeks ago
while Vicki and I were on the Alaskan Cruise I asked a couple at the seating
next to us
"Where are you folks from?" I learned they were
from Grain Valley, MO and while talking we told them we are motorcyclists
and
had rode in every state of the union with the exception of Alaska.
We learn they too are Goldwing riders. When
I asked if they were members
of GWRRA, he replied, "No, but we would like to be." His father
in-law from Nebraska was
also present on the cruise and he rides a
2012 Goldwing trike. We exchanged contact information so
hopefully, they both will
sign up as members of GWRRA. Some of our
members made a recent trip to southeast Kansas to visit the Big Brutus
site. Hopefully
George and Sheila will be at the meeting Thursday and
they will tell us all about their trip. As you have probably heard by
now,
George and Sheila's daughter, Jennifer Dove, and her family were in
an automobile Saturday. The kids are doing great, Ron
is now dismissed
from the hospital but Jennifer is still in there. I think she
is off the critical list now. Keep
praying for their full
recovery.
Mark your calendar: Thursday June 13, 6:30,
Golden Corral, Chapter B2.
See you there.
