Meet your new Region E Directors from our very own Chapter B2

Hello, We are Clayton & Lynda Alcorn.  We were high school sweethearts. Both of us were born and raised in Sedalia, Missouri.  We have been married forty-seven years, and have two children, Danny and Denise.  We have five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Clayton retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber on July 1, 2001, as owner manager after thirty-two years.  At the present, he has a part-time job as Maintenance Supervisor for Furnell Companies. I am a LPN and worked many years for Eldenburg Family Practice as Office Charge Nurse before retiring in 2002.

Clayton had a motorcycle when we first met at age 15.  He has always loved motorcycling.  I was a little more reserved about motorcycles.  Over the years, I started to enjoy riding with Clayton.  In August, 1994, we bought a burgundy 1200 Gold Wing.  That is when our lives changed.  We joined GWRRA so we could get this really neat magazine about Gold Wings.  Little did we know the fun we would have riding all over the USA or the friends we would meet; or that we would have such a terrific extended family. Since then we have had several new Gold Wings.  We currently ride a 2005 yellow 1800 trike.

There wasn’t a GWRRA chapter in our area, so Clayton and I chartered Chapter B2.  We had no idea how much our chapter family would mean to us.  We were the first Chapter Directors and Missouri’s First Senior Chapter Directors.  We are honored to be chosen our chapter’s first Couple of the Year in 1997.  We were selected chapter Couple of the Year again in 2005, District Couple of the Year 2006-2007 and Region E Couple of the Year 2007-2008.  We are currently our Chapter’s Treasurer and Recruiter (having recruited 56 members). Clayton and I are both senior level 4.  We are also the Region E Assistant Directors

We are proud to be called Mom and Dad by our B2 family.

NEWS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:
OUR MEETING TIME AND LOCATION
The second Thursday starting with dinner at 6:30 p..m. and the meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Ryan’s Family Restaurant, 3404 West Broadway, Sedalia, MO EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!
NEWS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:

Hey, Let’s go “Back to the Fifties” and have some fun at the Region E Rally, September 4 and 5 in Daven-port, Iowa. So girls dig out those poodle skirts and oxford shoes. Buys slick back your hair into a duck tail and let rock into the 1950s. Clayton and Lynda have a good time planned for everyone to enjoy the weekend.
If you would like to bring a snack to donate to the hospitality room, they would welcome that. Of course, we can all enjoy the fruits of that when we indulge.
September 11 and 12 donate a few hours and help out at the MS 150 Ex-press Scripts Ride in Columbia. If you can carry a few bottles of water and ride along and encourage the bi-cycle riders, they truly appreciate our help. This is a very rewarding ex-perience.
Don’t forget that we will be selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at the Ver-sailles Apple Festival, October 2. We hope you will plan to help us out so we can be done by the time the parade is over at noon.
Plan now to attend the October ride on October 14, 15, 16 and 17.
Joe and Kay have planned a good ride for everyone.
JOIN IN THE FUN!!
PARTICIPATE, PARTICIPATE,

Warm Hugs
Glenn & CarolÀ
